The program aims to obtain a diploma of vocational studies (DVS) in automobile mechanics to practice anywhere in Quebec.The person holds a secondary school diploma or its recognized equivalent (eg: certificate of equivalence of educational level) or a higher education diploma, such as a college diploma or a bachelor's degree.mécanique automobile OR The person is at least 16 years old on September 30 of the school year during which he begins his training and has obtained Secondary IV credits in language of instruction, second language and mathematics in programs of studies established by the Minister or has completed apprenticeships recognized as being equivalent. OR The person is at least 18 years old at the time of starting their training and has the functional prerequisites, i.e. passing the general development test as well as the specific prerequisites (see the table below), or has completed apprenticeships recognized as being equivalent. OR The person has obtained Secondary III credits in language of instruction, second language and mathematics in study programs established by the Minister and will continue their general education in conjunction with their vocational training to obtain Secondary IV credits which it lacks in language of instruction, in second language and in mathematics in the programs of studies established by the minister.
